Today i went to my friend's funeral, we were in the same school... he just joined the army an year ago, but i realized it 2 days b4 when i saw his photo with d name on d newspaper i.e. Lieutenant Archit Verdia. he died in siachen while performin his duty (tht is what we all know). I live in a small town 'Udaipur' , and archit became legendary because he died while performin his duty given the title 'Shahid (a true martyr)' , Accordin to my perception i feel people had curiosity of watching The Guard Of Honour given to an army man ,rather than feeling for his family, foes etc. But one thing that struck me while on the way to the crematorium , there was a big rally of cars and the green truck which had the body of archit, right behind that in the open jeep i saw his mother and only sister. All the people screamin around ,there i looked in the eyes of his only sister which had a diffrent kind of spark (no it ws not that she wasn't sad) but the spark was of confidence she had in her eyes or the proud feelin she had that the boy in the army truck is MY BROTHER and i am the sister who sacrificed my brother fr the country .
It is rightly said that in the end the king nd the pawn goes into the same box.
But I just know 1 thing that how proud his dad would be of him watchin frm heaven above.(his dad died 2 years ago)...Meeting his dad in heaven he would surely be welcomed by a strong PAT on his back fulfilling his father's dream since his childhood with the words "SON U DID IT" . I am sure his father would've got tears while watchin his son getting all tribute and respect from the people in such a small age... (so i salute u lt. Archit Verdia u just kind of encouraged people to have their son and daughter go for d army.)
U DESERVED IT!!!!!!!!
